Busy

It’s been a long day. 

After two weeks of severe client no-show syndrome, I had two sessions today and I’m pretty sure I kicked ass. Therapeutically, of course. I was ready to get back in the business of making people aware of their blind spots. I definitely missed it. I felt like both clients learned a lot about themselves today and should be on the way to making big changes in their lives. 

But maybe not. 

Such is life. Counselors get used to seeing our well-intentioned and reasonable advice being ignored. It happens. I was just glad I had clients to talk to today. As I unwind, I’m reminded of how much I love what I’m doing and feel a real sense of peace about my career so far. 

 

It’s been a good day.
