New Blog and Life Updates

This is my 3rd or so attempt at blogging. I had a Blogger account back in 2009, but no one was on there. I have a Tumblr, but it’s not really the clean and “grown up” atmosphere I’m looking for. It’s a good place to share funny gifs or videos or fan art, but not for sharing thoughts.

I’ve seen that several of my friends are using WordPress. I would visit their blogs and would constantly be impressed with the clean layouts and the features available. It looked to be a very accessible site with a clean interface and structure, so here I am.

I must confess that I am no professional blogger and that I possess no great wisdom. I simply seek an outlet for my thoughts, no matter how base or profound. If no one reads this, great. If a lot of people read this, great. I find that I spend the majority of my free time thinking or wasting time. I feel that a blog will organize my thoughts and give me a way to keep track of how my thinking progresses or grows up as time passes.

I have all ready seen a progression in the blogs I have started in the past and abandoned. Looking back on these entries is always a fun trip down memory lane and a great way to immerse myself again in the circumstances I was experiencing at the time. This new blog has the good fortune of starting at a time in my life when I am starting another great change. In about a month I will be starting my graduate school internship at Meridian Health Services in Muncie. I will be seeing clients and basically be working as a therapist but not getting paid. That’s basically what an internship is, if you didn’t know. Of course, some internships are super cool and pay you, but I found myself pursuing the site that best matched my career goals instead of following the money. But that’s just me.

I won’t be doing this

My internship also signals the start of my second and final year of graduate school, after which I will need to search for that ever-illusive entry-level job and become a productive member of society. That’s all a bit in the future, however. I like to enjoy each day and not think about what is ahead. That may be a poor way to plan a life, but hey, it’s worked for me so far. I hope I am faithful with updating this and I hope you continue to come back and read the nonsense that I will hopefully write.

Question: Are you a laid-back person who experiences life as it happens (like me) or a planner?
